Jason Granger

Hello! I'm excited to begin my 3rd year teaching PLP at Benold! I grew up in southeast Louisiana, just north of New Orleans. While studying social work with a concentration on international work at Southeastern Louisiana University, I met my wife Sarah. We've been married since 2013. Currently, we have three children - Jack, Meredith, and Thomas. For much of my 20s, I worked on a church staff in Louisiana, leading a student ministry team and numerous outreach programs - including disaster response teams and international missions trips. My family and I moved to Georgetown in 2017. For the 2017/18 school year, I worked as a social worker in a male leadership program in east Austin. I'm honored to be a part of the Benold family.

My hope is to help students understand their important place in the world, mining legacy from the generations before us and the world around us in order to make informed decisions today which will leave a more pleasant world ahead of us. One of the most important skills a person can possess is the ability to leave a positive legacy. I believe middle school students are capable of that skill.
