Boys Athletics

Background-

I started teaching Science and coaching in 2003-04 for George West ISD. The following year, I moved to Menard teaching 6th, 7th and 8th grade Science and coaching Jr High and HS sports for two years. In 2006, I took a job in Stephenville where I taught 7th/8th grade Science and coached Jr High/ HS baseball. In 2017, I moved to Georgetown to open Wagner MS, where I later became the boys athletics coordinator. Currently, this is my third year at Benold where I will continue to teach 7/8th grade Science (Inclusion) and coach boys athletics. 

I graduated from Winters High School and attended Angelo State University. I earned my B.S. degree in Kinesiology and a Minor in Science. I am certified in 4-8 Science and all level PE.

I have two boys that attend GISD. Jayden Phillip is a 7th grader at Benold MS and Riley is a 5th grader at Ford Elementary. My lovely wife Rachel is a Kinder Teacher at Ford Elementary as well. We enjoy backyard cookouts and following Jayden around playing sports.
