I'm a local girl, who loves her hometown. I grew up in Walburg, TX. After graduating from Georgetown High School and Southwestern University, I lived in Las Vegas and worked at The Mirage Hotel's Dolphin Habitat. I was then the Education Director at the Austin Zoo.
I found my way back to Georgetown, and I have 24 years experience in GISD. I've taught 6th, 7th and 8th science and LOVED it! I love my position as Benold's Learning Design Coach very much! As Benold's LDC, I support our teachers and provide professional learning, coaching and work as a resource to help teachers design engaging learning experiences their students.
My boyfriend, Danny, and my son, Zachary, and I live in my hometown of Walburg. Its incredible being home, within a mile of my parents and sister and her family! Zachary, is a senior at the University of Texas in San Antonio (Go Roadrunners!). He will graduate in May. I love going to the beach, fishing, reading, working in our yard, doing home improvement projects, and spending time with my family and friends.
