Welcome to BMS Cheer!

Our program is split into three parts - 7th Grade Sideline Cheer Club, 8th Grade Sideline Cheer Team, and UIL Competition Team. 

7th Grade Sideline Cheer Club welcomes all incoming 7th graders in the spring, no tryouts necessary. Keep an eye out for information regarding our Try It Out clinic and 7th Grade Sideline Cheer Club mandatory meetings in March. Unfortunately, we cannot take new members after May 15th, but please join us next year!

Our 8th Grade Sideline Cheer Team is a try-out based team for those considering cheer in high school. Tryouts for this team are open to any incoming 8th grader in the spring. Information will be released in February, and try-outs are in April. 

Both Sideline teams cheer for all home football games during the fall season, and host special events like Bear Camp. You can find them learning cheers and dance routines throughout the summer and fall, and the season ends at the last football game. 

Our UIL Competition Team is a try-out based team for any current cheerleader. Tryouts occur in November, with an additional fee and camp. Teams attend 2-4 competitions during the spring semester and wrap up before tryouts in April. 

BMS Cheer is under the direction of Katie Luera and Mackenzie Mabry.
